The Istanbul Cultural Center proudly participated in the Beloved Community International King Expo, organized by the King Center, on September 7th. The event, held from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, featured two booths representing Turkey and Turkish culture.
Guests were treated to a delightful array of Turkish sweets, including Baklava, Turkish Delight, and various Turkish cookies. The booths also showcased a variety of Turkish cultural display items and shared flyers for the upcoming Turkish Food Festival.
In the performance section, the Istanbul Center contributed to two categories:
– **Music Performance:** A captivating performance featuring the baglama and traditional Turkish songs.
– **Kids Folk Dance Group:** The Istanbul Center Kids Folk Dance Group performed traditional Turkish folk dances, enchanting the audience. Many attendees took photos with the dance group, who were dressed in traditional folk dance attire.
The festival attracted people from all around the world, who enjoyed the Turkish music and loved watching the folk dance performances. Each guest received a passport, and at our table, we enthusiastically stamped their passports with a Turkey stamp after sharing information about Turkish culture.
