Dialogue Workshop Fosters Peace and Understanding in Jacksonville, FL

Jacksonville, FL – The Atlantic Institute organized a highly successful Dialogue Workshop over the weekend of January 18-19. The event was warmly welcomed by Ümit Günebir, the Atlantic Institute President, and Ibrahim Bıçakçı, Executive Director of Atlantic Connections.

Participants were honored by the presence of Pastor Jonathan Swanson, who delivered an inspiring talk as the guest speaker. Among the notable presenters and participants were Osman Öztoprak, Executive Director at Alliance for Shared Values, and Bilal Eksili, Executive Director at National Council on Civil Advocacy, along with several dedicated volunteers from the Southeast US.

The workshop featured a diverse range of sessions, including:

– Hizmet Core Values & Balancing Different Aspects of Our Identity in Spaces

– Micro-Aggregation and Unconscious Bias

– Ramadan Dinners

– Saloon Programs

– Dialogue Do’s and Don’ts

Attendees had the opportunity to engage in two workshop sessions:

– **SESSION A (ENGLISH): Youth Involvement in Academic Environment and Clubs**

– **SESSION B: Reaching Others and Building New Networks**

The workshop also covered essential topics like Domestic and International Dialogue Trips and Interfaith Presentations. Participants shared best practices and engaged in meaningful discussions on an open floor, fostering a spirit of cooperation and understanding.
