Integration Workshop in Atlanta: The Importance of Integration and Community Relations

The workshop, held in Atlanta, Georgia, from November 15-17, 2024, focused on social relations and integration issues.

Expert speakers from various fields attended the program, which was hosted by Southeast Platform.

During the event, Dr. Reşit Haylamaz presented important lessons from a historical perspective, discussing the advice of our Prophet (PBUH) to the companions who migrated and his dialogue with different segments of society. Dr. Alp Arslandoğan explained the concept of the “8+1 dimension” of integration and highlighted ways to strengthen social ties in times of polarization. Psychological Counselor Safiye Esra Demiral focused on the psychological effects of the integration process on individuals, while Lyndsey Ekşili shared key elements of American culture with the participants. Sait Önal, who has specialized in finance for many years, offered practical advice on the importance of financial knowledge and skills. Tayfun Varol, known for his work with young people, discussed integration from the perspective of guidance and youth.

This three-day event aimed to strengthen dialogue and harmony between different communities living in America by providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical suggestions. The program once again emphasized the importance of social unity, peace, and mutual understanding.
